We are the UK Standard Setting Organisation for the building services engineering (BSE) sector.  The BSE sector represents the electrotechnical, heating and ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration and plumbing industries.

Following a significant reorganisation in 2014 we are growing and expanding to meet the needs of our industry. In conjunction with The HR Dept, we are recruiting for a full-time Business Development and Skills Manager for our small and friendly team.

Business Development and Skills Manager Role:

To secure external income to assist with the long term sustainability of the role and the Company.  To provide technical support and manage agreed education and training projects. To assist with the delivery of the organisation’s key objectives, including industry standards, qualifications and the low carbon agenda.

Business Development and Skills Manager Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for you to be educated to at least HNC/HND level with ideally a project management qualification and supporting BSE industry technical qualifications.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience of income generation and business development opportunities, writing and securing bids for externally funded projects as well as work on, and management of, education and training projects.

With support from the General Manager you will manage your own workload and have significant flexibility to meet the objectives of the post. Occasional overseas travel in agreement with the successful candidate.  All reasonable travel costs will be covered.  Full time, initial one year contract with the potential to become permanent.

A full driving licence and access to a car is required, along with a willingness to travel to meetings nationally or occasionally, overseas.
