Hours: 07:00 - 16:00 Friday 07:00 - Early Finish
Pay: 11.44 p/hr
Contract: Temp - Perm
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative based in Stourport. This role is Temporary to Permanent and offers the potential to progress within the company. As a key member of the Despatch Team you will support your colleagues in Packing of goods, loading vehicles and any other tasks required. A valid, in date Forklift License is required for this role.
The Duties of a Despatch Operative:
- Manual handling including packing of parts
- Checking parts & packing parcels
- Greeting drivers and ensuring correct paperwork is signed
- General data input (e.g packing lists)
- Load and unload vehicles using the Forklift
- Assistance in working for other departments when necessary
- Completion of despatch documentation when required
- Operation of various equipment as required, Chop saw, nail gun, banding machines
The Requirements of a Despatch Operative:
- Valid In Date Forklift Licence
- Computer literate
- Must be punctual with great time management
- Good communicator, English reading/writing skills
- Team player with experience of working within a factory setting
- Physically demanding role, must be ok with heavy lifting
- Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained
- Must follow Health and Safety regulations
