Care Support Worker
I am currently recruiting for a number of Care Support Workers to work in a residential home specialising in the care and support of adults with Autism, Severe Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours. The employer has residential settings in the Stourbridge and Kidderminster areas of the West Midlands.
Established for nearly ten years, you will join a residential provider who has developed and secured a positive reputation for the delivery of person centred care and support packages for adults with an Autism diagnosis. You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure all care is delivered with the needs of the individuals who live here in mind and to maintain a service that truly feels like home.
Although challenging, this is an extremely rewarding job role which will give you a great sense of satisfaction through supporting the people you care for to achieve their goals. You will be a forward thinking, pro-active individual who is committed to being an advocate for the needs of the people you support. Day to day you will support service users to lead active lives which could include Accompanying them to go walking, swimming or cycling. You will help with daily living activities such as cooking and cleaning and provide personal care consistent with individual care plans.
Ideally you will hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. You will have knowledge and experience of working with adults who have Autistic Spectrum disorders or Severe Learning Difficulties. Having the right attitude is what counts when it comes to doing this role... you need to be enthusiastic, self motivated and have a good sense of humour.
Although not essential it would be beneficial if you are a car driver with a clean license.
You will work a 39 hour week. Which is normally worked over three 13 hour days with a shift pattern of 8am till 9pm. All posts include weekend days as per rota.
This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £14,905 per annum with the opportunity to receive a pay increase rising to £15,210 on successful completion of your probation period.
