Independent Living Coordinator
Progress Housing Group is looking for someone to join our existing Independent Living Team as an Independent Living Coordinator working Monday to Friday, 5 days per week between the hours of 9am and 5pm in the Bamber Bridge area.
Duties will include providing day to day assistance to the tenants who live in the Independent Living schemes through personal visits or intercom calls as requested and to undertake the health and safety tasks in the communal areas of the schemes as required.
This is a crucial post and the successful candidate must have excellent communication and administration skills, enthusiasm and a flexible approach to work. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, tenants and their family members, social services, NHS and other relevant agencies.
The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the issues facing vulnerable and older tenants, some with complex needs, and have previous experience of working with older people.
Access to a car is essential for work purposes for which a mileage allowance is payable.
