Our client specialises in providing data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. As a result of their continued structured growth, they are now looking for a Network Support Team Manager to join their team, based in Derby, Nottingham or Wakefield.

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you'll have the chance to lead from the front and get stuck in with a wide range of technical challenges.

As the Network Support Team Manager, you'll ensure that a world-class support service is delivered to our client's customers and partners.

Leading a team of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Network Support Engineers, you'll motivate them to effectively handle a range of technical incidents, issues and problems escalated from the Service Desk and other channels.

Managing shift rotas, you will train and develop your team's technical abilities to ensure that they realise their full potential. Additionally, you'll act as the senior engineer within your team, providing both 3rd and 4th line support to customers.

Your other duties will involve:

- Managing major incidents and writing incident reports
- Ensuring that tickets are not escalated unnecessarily
- Configuring and developing network management systems
- Ensuring that customer networks are appropriately monitored

To be considered, you must have:

- Experience as a network support team manager, which included managing a team
- Previous experience of providing 3rd and/or 4th line support for LANs, WANs and wireless networks
- A track record of supporting and configuring Cisco and/or Juniper networks
- Experience of supporting and configuring security technologies
- A Cisco CCNP or Juniper JNCIS and/or JNCIP certification (or equivalent)

Analytical and focused, as the Network Support Team Manager, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Superb time-management, prioritisation and multi-tasking abilities are also key.

Experience of the following would be beneficial: service provider networks, MPLS and IP transit, SDN including Cisco Nexus products, Cisco ACI, DSL networks including LNS/BRAS, and cloud networks, including VMware, storage and virtualisation.
