Frontend web developer

Fully-remote position (home working)

Start date ASAP (December 2016)

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic frontend web developer for a well-established and fast-growing technology company. You should be well-rounded and happy to work with a variety of frontend web technologies. You should be confident in modern HTML & CSS, and have experience using various CMS tools.

You should be a CSS wizard, able to bring all of the best modern approaches to your work, and with an eye for design and interaction. You should take pride in implementing designs in the most engaging manner possible, and will be required to contribute your own ideas as to user engagement and interaction (UI/UX). You will be bringing applications to life, from designs and also improving existing processes, so this is a very dynamic and exciting role.

My client has a wide range of projects to become involved with, mostly involving SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) web applications, but ranging from traditional CMS and eCommerce websites through to cutting-edge real-time platforms and mobile applications. You will become involved with both Agile and waterfall projects, working on mobile-first, cloud-first, and more. Their clients range from startups through to multi-nationals; blue-chips to government; financial services to education; and everything in between.

This is an opportunity with the potential for long tenure, and plenty of chance for career progression. This is a fully remote (home) working position.

You should be experienced in all of the following areas:

- HTML 5 & CSS 3 - hand-coded and semantic
- Responsive design and use of modern CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
- JavaScript - able to use jQuery and similar tools where necessary
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles
- An eye for aesthetics, able to accurately implement designs
- Comfortable with editing frontend templates

Any experience of backend technologies, particularly PHP, would be useful, but not critical. You should have at least three years' commercial experience, and a portfolio that appropriately demonstrates your skills.

You must be currently residing in the UK, with a right to work in the UK, and a native standard of fluent English.
