Industrial Manufacturing Senior Sector Advisor. The aim of the role will be to deepen the membership base and improve the membership offering for this sector.

Client Details

Based in the city, this association are one of the voices of business across Britain. They are 200 employees in the London. They represent around 2000 members but a further 200,000 indirect members.

The offices are very modern and open plan. The entrance/reception area is huge - they encourage their members to use it as place to network, have meetings in or use in between meetings/while waiting for the train. Their members can also use it as an exhibition space.

They are a relatively small organisation but with a huge reach and a huge political impact; the culture is very open and collaborative; everyone is an expert in what they do; get to see results; good progression opportunities; brilliant training. The company will not wait until lots of people want to do the same training, they are happy to organise it in small groups or even on a one to one basis. If you can put a case forward for the training then you can get it.

Description

This is a brand new role for the organisation and is incredibly diverse and hybrid.

The Industrial Manufacturing Senior Sector Advisor will work with the Head of the department to establish an deliver a strategic 3 year business plan which grows the organisation's presence within this sector.

The role will involve:

- Researching and analysing the Industrial Manufacturing market in order to put together compelling business plan for the sector

- Commercialising the existing offer of the organisation so that members get more value

- Working closely with the policy team to deliver strong policy offerings

- Account managing the Industrial Manufacturing members and keeping them informed of relevant activities

- Coaching regional colleagues on the sector, including key issues, dynamics, business models and key players

- Identifying new organisations to target and where appropriate leading targeted approaches of your own

Success criteria will be:

- retention and growth of membership

- member satisfaction

- becoming the go-to person for the sector

Profile

The Industrial Manufacturing Senior Sector Advisor will be:

- Degree educated

- An expert in the Industrial Manufacturing industry with a strong knowledge of the UK and EU issues.

- An interest in business affairs, national and regional policy

- Experience of writing sales or commercial documents

- Account management or sales skills

- Strong networking skills with external and internal stakeholders

- Understanding of how the political and economic environment can support/undermine a company's business objectives
