To initiate delivery of a fundraising strategy for 2016-2020 in coordination with staff, potential and existing funders, statutory, voluntary and private sector providers and other stakeholders

Client Details

Regional charity based in Coventry


- Be responsible for creation and delivery of the fundraising strategy. Including setting and achieving clear fundraising targets.

- To liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally to interpret and achieve some of the key objectives outlined in the fundraising strategy;

- To prioritise and develop a fundraising database for the organisation capturing past and future funders and supporters;

- To develop strong links and maintain contact with the new funders, sponsors, supporters locally, regionally and nationally;

- To draft relevant promotional materials in line with the objectives for each stream of work within fundraising strategy;

- To research prospects and relevant information and research in order to develop targeted proposals for funding;

- To monitor the progress on implementation of the fundraising strategy and identify and address any areas where further actions are required;

- To identify opportunities for, organise and coordinate quality fundraising events and activities;

- To produce regular fundraising updates to the Line Manager, SMT, the Board and wider staff team to ensure everyone is kept up to date with any developments;

To contribute towards other relevant areas of work for the organisation


- At least two years experience of successful fundraising and grant writing in a social or community environment;

- Proven experience of establishing and maintaining links with funding agencies and individual supporters;

- An understanding of voluntary/community sector, its challenges and priorities;

- Proactive and can do approach, open to ideas and new experiences;

- Attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and thorough approach to work;

- Articulate and able to engage with a variety of audiences;

- Outcome focused and able to prioritise workload with minimal supervision and work to [often conflicting] deadlines;

- A team player able to work efficiently independently;

- Ability to turn ideas into tangible project proposals and appeals;

Job Offer

£30,000 to £38,000
