Have you got experience in Design Management with a tier 1 contractor? Why wouldn't you want to take the next step and oversee design for London projects from a regional point of view? Who wouldn't want to work with a well cultured, financially stable contractor in London?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager with top tier London contractor experience to oversee a handful of projects in London. This client of mine are extremely financially stable and have growth plans to get their turnover to £100m in the next 3-5 years. They are currently working on various high end residential projects as well as commercial and education. They are looking to diversify their project portfolio more as the business grows.

- Design output review, meeting key compliance criteria with client specifications
- Manage design transfer from pre-construction to construction
- Understanding client requirements/output specs
- Supporting the Procurement and Commercial teams
- Monthly reporting to Design Leads
- Defining consultant valuations and authorisation of payments
- Ensure design, procurement and construction information complies with project documentation
- Defining designer's objectives: program, deliverables, ratios


- Able to work in Central London
- Previous experience with a Main Contractor
- Excellent all round technical knowledge
- Architectural, Engineering or Design Management background
- Understanding the RIBA plan of work
- Excellent presentation, communication, management, negotiation skills
- Design, engineering or construction qualifications preferred
- Planning process and building regulations knowledge
