The Nottingham is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Customer Insight team. It's an exciting opportunity to join a very busy, forward thinking and professional marketing team which is responsible for the development of our customer propositions, marketing campaigns and customer insight across our building society, mortgage broking and estate agency businesses.

Our Customer Insight team looks at all aspects of our business, providing research, analysis and insight to support the Society in achieving its strategy. Our insight is not one-dimensional; we need to look at things through customer, market and business lenses and we have the data, expertise and tools to do this.

You'll need to be experienced in using SQL databases, able to stitch together data from multiple sources, produce analysis, build models and solve problems. You'll need to be excited about taking an idea or a challenge, developing solutions to it and be able to communicate your findings to a range of stakeholders.

On the subject of working with stakeholders, the team doesn't just interact with internal colleagues, but with external partners too. We manage customer panels and undertake both qualitative and quantitative research through research agencies, which you will also be involved with.

The key responsibilities of this role include -

* Working alongside the Customer Insight and wider marketing team to support short and long term data and insight needs
* Develop approaches, tools and delivery methods to provide stakeholders with quicker, more efficient, or more frequent access to key data and reporting
* Manage our Customer Satisfaction survey process, ensuring data provided to and received from the agency and administration of the Customer Satisfaction site are managed in a timely and accurate way
* Manage the ongoing update and maintenance of our Estate Agency market data
* Build in-depth knowledge of our systems, processes and data to maximise the value the Customer Insight team can extract from the Society's data assets
* Contribute to defining market research, analysis and insight approaches and in forming insight and recommendations to the business

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following behaviours, skills and experiences -


* Minimum of 1 year's experience in a data analysis role with experience of using SQL to interrogate large, complex datasets
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Well organised, methodical and accurate
* Demonstrable attention to detail whilst ensuring deadlines are met
* Able to exercise initiative and make timely and reasoned decisions and recommendations.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to assimilate and distil information to create and present actionable insights to Senior Management


* Solid business acumen, management, analytical and problem-solving skills
* In depth understanding of how to access, analyse and interpret raw data and output to inform key decisions
* Ability to develop strong internal stakeholder relationships
