An instantly recognisable Investment Bank based in London is currently looking for a Wholesale Impairment Assistant Manager to join their Global Business Impairment Process team as to manage, coordinate and manage the end-to-end impairment process.

The main focus of this role is to assisting the design and management of large and complex global programmes, as the bank transitions through IFRS9 to run the bank. This will include project management, control development, MI production and documentation and explanation of processes.

Key responsibilities in the Wholesale Impairment Assistant Manager role will include:

* Ensuring appropriate controls are delivered in the design and implementation of operational processes to calculate wholesale impairment allowances under IFRS9
* Ensure development & approval of process policies/standards on KPI for the IFRS9 impairment process ( Model redesign, model inputs, calculation of results, policy setting etc)
* Ensure adequate governance for the wholesale ECL's are established
* Design and implementation of the Global Business Impairment process IFRS9 for all senior stakeholders
* Extraction of portfolio data, as interpret to senior stakeholders and risk management
* Definition of target operating models (TOM)

Key responsibilities in the Wholesale Impairment Assistant Manager will include:

* Numerate degree and or professional qualification
* Prior exposure to Stress Testing & IFRS/Impairment processes is highly advantageous
* Experience working in a Wholesale Credit Risk environment. (PD, LGD,EAD)
* Working knowledge of current regulations
* SAS experience would be advantageous
