Out of Hand Ltd is a fast paced, expanding print, design and distribution company who provides innovative marketing solutions for a wide range of clients. We are looking for an experienced Finance / Accounts Manager with flair for keeping our money in check to join our team at Bristol Head office.

You would work with the Finance and Operations Director, with the support of a full time Accounts Assistant to ensure the company is run efficiently from a financial perspective. This is for the main business and a number of smaller ltd companies. High levels of motivation, trust and flexibility are essential. We work with high volumes of transactions in a fast changing growth environment.

Duties will include: -

- Daily use and management of Accounts MIS package (we use Exchequer and Iris Payroll)
- Weekly / bi weekly and monthly payroll processing, including the administration of the companies auto enrolment pension scheme
- Control the Sales Ledger, processing of sales orders, raising invoices to customers and performing credit control procedures
- Control of the Purchase ledger, coding and cross checking supplier invoices, managing credits and processing supplier payments
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and processing payments to HMRC
- Bank and other general ledger code reconciliations
- Credit Control, manage whole procedure from first contact to small claims court
- Reconciliation of Company credit cards/ petty cash and expense claims
- Sales commission calculations and payments
- Contribute to system change and implementation, including the writing and training of your departments SOPs
- Preparation of management accounts, adhoc reporting, cash flow forecasts and budget analysis
- Finalise end of year accounts and liaise with company accountant prior to sign off

Skills and expertise required

- Excellent numerical, communication and IT skills
- Systematic, organised and thorough, able to work efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle large volumes of processing, previous experience of working in print, agency or manufacturing industry would be beneficial
- Flexible in your attitude to workload, as it varies at points in the year
- Honest and reliable, with a calm and professional attitude
- Attention to detail, trustworthy and ability to use initiative
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to spot trends and variances and identify opportunities to maximise income and minimise expenditure
- Minimum 3 years experience in a finance position, including responsibility for financial systems and budgets, bookeeping, payroll, financial planning and the preparation of financial reports - AAT or professional qualification desirable but not essential

Salary: £24,000 - £32,000 dependant on experience, please state salary expectation with your application
