October saw our client join together with another housing association. With 12,000 homes in Shropshire and Staffordshire, 600 employees and an annual turnover of £65m, it's a blend that offers more choice for their customers, colleagues and partners. Their increased capacity and reach means that they can now implement their ambitious plans to build more homes, create more choice, and do more for their communities. And they need exceptional senior professionals to deliver the promises they've made

As Chair, you will bring your professional expertise and experience to bear on all aspects of risk management arrangements, providing oversight of internal/external audit processes, ensuring they meet their statutory and regulatory obligations and advising the Group Board on the robustness of financial policies, financial statements and annual report.

Working closely with fellow Directors, the Group Chair and Group Chief Executive, you will also serve on the Board, acting as an essential link with the Audit and Risk Committee whilst contributing to the strategic direction and success of the businesses Group.

They are looking to recruit an individual with vision, focus and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have high level business and financial skills with substantial experience of risk management at a senior level, strong commercial awareness, knowledge and/or interest in social housing and have strategic leadership qualities to guide the work of the Audit and Risk Committee and our continued growth.
