The Company

My client is an established and well respected manufacturer in the HVAC industry. With a comprehensive offering they design, manufacture, install and consult in house. This includes their own bespoke software packages and designing their own control systems for bespoke HVAC systems, often using products from other manufacturers such as Trend. The successful controls design engineer will be part of an experienced team with the chance to take lead in the department in the near future, progression and growth potential is excellent. Controls Design Engineer Responsibilities

- Reading and interpreting project specifications, schedules and drawings
- Liaise with clients and internal parties to finalise designs of control schemes
- Designing and quoting controls schemes including ordering parts
- Visiting site to assist and guide commissioning of control systems
- Reviewing and handing over projects at order stage to Project Engineer
- Producing electrical design documentation drawings using AutoCAD and Eplan

Controls Design Engineer Requirements

The following points are beneficial, they are a wish list and not all essential; so please feel free to apply if you don't meet all the points:

- Experience designing, quoting or project managing control systems for HVAC plant such as air handling units, refrigeration equipment, fans, dampers, heat exchangers, humidifiers, valves and actuators
- Experience with BMS and HVAC control systems such as Trend an advantage but not needed as training will be given
- Knowledge of control strategies and how to implement them
- HVAC control panels knowledge or experience
- Living in West Yorkshire, you could be living in or near Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield, Keighley, Dewsbury etc.
