Senior Contracts Manager - M&E Building Services - up to £45,000 + FE Car + Benefits

Due to continued growth and major project wins, our client, a Nottingham based, made to order manufacturer of bespoke equipment are currently recruiting a Senior Contracts Manager to managetheir Projects and contractsteam

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-driven individual looking to progress their career in a Senior Contracts Manager role within a niche manufacturer and global provider of bespoke equipment

The main purpose of the Senior Contracts Manager roleis to manage the projects and contracts team, ensuring that all global projects are managed in an effective and profitable manner

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To manage the contracts team and take responsibility for the commercial management and delivery of allprojects

2. To schedule the work of the contracts department, keeping abreast of work in hand and in progress, identifying issues and taking action accordingly

3. To manage the appointment and performance of sub-contractors and to liaise with Architects, M&E Consultants and QS at all stages of a project.

4. To project manage individual contracts as required including preparation of H&S documentation

5. To support the sales team in the preparation of tender documents including PQQ and information to consultants and architects

6. To manage the financial aspects of projects, including contractual terms and conditions, managing financial claims and preparing final accounts; and to report to the Directors on the financial position of individual projects on a regular basis

7. To maintain an up to date technical awareness of our clientsproducts

8. To manage the contracts function, providing leadership and direction, including managing change and employee relations

9. To constantly review procedures and working practices, and feed back recommendations for improvement with an aim to enhancing the performance of the team

10. To ensure that all departmental staff are recruited, trained, managed, motivated, appraised, developed and disciplined in accordance with internal and statutory procedures in an effective and sensitive manner and in accordance with the Company Equal Opportunities Policy

11. To ensure that all staff are kept informed and consulted as appropriate

12. To carry out all duties in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and to ensure that the company H&S policy documents are up to date and conform with current legislation

13. To undertake any other duties or special projects as may be regarded as within the responsibility of the post

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Ideal candidates for the role of Senior Contracts Manager role will have a background in either/or Mechanical & Electrical Building service (M&E) orRefrigeration/HVAC. A proven Contract Manager you will possess the leadership and communication skills to influence cross functional teams, 3rd party suppliers and clients.

The Senior Contracts Manager role is key to the continued growth of our client and as such will suit well organised individuals who are able to manage multiple projects at various stages. Occasional overseas travel may well be required
