Lead Network Engineer - Design, Implementation - Telford

An opportunity has arose for a Lead Network engineer to join a Telford based, award winning, growing internet service provider with huge growth plans over the next 18-24 months, you would be working closely with the sales teams designing and implementing Private WANS into the internal network for clients, the role would be very design, implementation and configuration based whilst still being based out of Telford 99.9% of the time from my clients datacentre. As a lead engineer you would also be a point of escalation for any support queries from the NOC team, whilst being the go to person for anything technical regarding the Cisco network, as such you would be responsible for the future technological development of the internal network to further develop the business following trends and advances within the networking sector.

Key skills required:

- Extensive knowledge of Cisco switches, routers.
- At least 2 years' experience designing, implementing and configuring network solutions
- An appreciation for Firewalls and network security
- High level knowledge of a range of networking protocols including BGP
- IPV4
- The ability to work with both technical and none technical people

Desirable skills include:

- CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP Certified
- Experience working for another ISP
